By: Diana Garcνa

Free time will open a space to creativity, to the knowledge of yourself and the relationship with the others. You will be able to create good habits that will help you in your life for example with things such as reading, sports, music, dancing, etc. It is important that you start to use your free time in a proper way, because when you reach adulthood that time will be affected, since you will be full of responsibilities and obligations when you reach that stage of your life.

What does using your free time means?

• Being aware that there is a free time and you have to do something with it.

• Being aware that every person chooses his/her activities in accordance with his/her interests.

• Knowing yourself in order to know what you want, no matter what your group of friends wants.

• Using your right to choose what you want, knowing that it is not enough to decide, it is necessary to act.

• Practicing freedom and responsibility with your free time.

• Re-ordering your thoughts, attitudes and conducts.

• Having a real availability to carry out different activities in your free time.

Advises to make good use of your free time:

Abusing of commercialized amusements has important effects on you and on society: excessive expenses to get fun, superficial activities, etc. All this promotes mimetism, to look all alike, unification of thoughts, and only accepting what is easy and pleasant for me. In this way you will easily accept the attitudes, opinions and habits of others.

• To get away from any utilitarian sense.

• Everybody chooses what to do and what not to do.

• The most important thing is to make a decision and carry it out.

• It does not have to do only with going out to shows, movies, bars or “discos”.

• It is not only present on weekends or holidays.

Tips to make good use of your free time:

1. Use your free time in activities that help you to be a better person.
