All in its due time

By: Diana García

It is necessary to make the most of our time. It is possible that in this stage of your life you feel a little confused about what is the right thing to do and what is the right time to do it, since you are living a stage full of changes and transformations.

You might wonder when is the right time to do the things that attract your attention, like going to parties, having boyfriend or girlfriend, doing the so called grown-up things like drinking or smoking, well, here we will tell you!

How do you know if you are ready for:

a) Parties: the right moment is when you feel ready for three things:

1. That you can have fun because it is something good and pleasant.

2. When you can be responsible for your own person, your acts and its consequences.

3. When you are not going to please somebody else and when you feel able to do the things you feel comfortable with and not only for social pressure.

b) Courtship: in order to know if you are ready to start a courtship relation it is necessary to be prepared to love and for that it is essential TO LOVE YOURSELF FIRST. “I CANNOT GIVE LOVE IF I DO NOT KNOW MYSELF, IF I DO NOT ACCEPT MYSELF AND IF DO NOT LOVE MYSELF”.

c) Smoking and Drinking: THERE IS NO RIGHT TIME TO DO THIS; IT IS ALWAYS BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH. You may be curious, or your friends may be putting pressure on you, but the problem with these substances, like alcohol, drugs and cigarettes is that they destroy your body; they are bad for your health, no matter how old you are. You can see adult people that die or even hurt the people they love because of alcohol, drugs or cigarette.

In order to know if you are ready or not, it is important that you know that every act has consequences and if you are willing to face them or not. It is important that you do not feel internally confused, on the contrary it is important that you feel an inner peace that makes you feel convinced that you are doing the right thing for you and for the others and it is really going to bring something good into your life.

“There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3, 1).
