Educating Woman. How do women talk? Nancy Escalante

When she opens her mouth, she does so wisely; on her tongue is kindly instruction (Proverbs. 31:26)

Through history, women have distinguished themselves for their sensitivity and their capacity to give and touch other’s heart. Due to her own feminine essence, she has been called to be an educator, and that includes, receiving, transmitting and preserving the spiritual life and dignity of the human being. For this reason a woman has the forming capacity and the responsibility to influence the growing process of each individual and humanization of the whole world. Therefore, women with their educating vocation is able to up dating human values, so in this way they can block the influences of external ideologies that attack human dignity and humanity’s well being. That is why it is important for women to be clear and coherent when transmitting their criteria and give an integral testimony.

In this sense maternity is very closely related with her educating vocation, since women have a special mission in their children education because it is the woman who offers the necessary security and confidence a child needs during his/her two first years of life, this security and confidence come from the mother-child relationship that is generated during that period of time, and it is exactly from this relationship that the child establishes his own personal identity and his capability to establish positive relationships with others, so it is women who, at a great extent guide their children’s first steps being supportive and becoming essential reference for their children’s life.

Woman’s sensitivity complements man’s potentials so that both together in a parenting relation may carry out such an important educating task within family life, where woman inflicts warmth to the environment, and to the family that constitutes a loving community. Women are called to show their love, affection, care and tenderness, all of them, qualities from the feminine essence, encouraging a real human environment at home and making of it a proper place to strengthen values and virtues in every member of this community.

Therefore women, through her feminine characteristics is called to show their gifts, offering the necessary tools and elements to up dating the human being potentialities, preserving and promoting, in this way, formation and values transmission. So we can conclude that women are also called to participate in society’s edification. And that is why “the complete woman” (consult Proverbs, 31: 10) is considered an essential support and spiritual force for the family and consequently society in general.
